Netflix Casts Perfect Performer for Bentham in the Hit Series Season 3
The Secret Organization is set to play a huge role in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, though the true confrontation isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a beloved, audience-beloved member has just been cast.
Netflix announced recently that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will embody Mr. 2. The role possesses the power to morph into an exact copy of any individual they’ve touched with their main hand. The performer, who is identifies as non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a version of that figure reinterpreted as non-binary, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the live-action show, as in the original manga and anime.
Escola joins a number of fresh additions tasked with bringing Baroque Works to life, featuring chief Sir Crocodile, brought to life by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, and a familiar face, who is also part of the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of the fictional land.
Though the role is a major member of the organization, the individual won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. With the second season expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this represents a notable change in the timing of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could indicate more adjustments to the narrative framework.
The actor’s combination of sharp comedic timing and profound feeling makes them a perfect fit for the part. Besides their latest vocal work in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and multiple awards for writing and starring in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, emphasizing the range they’ll add to one of One Piece’s highly regarded roles.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is scheduled to come back for its season two on March 10th, 2026.
