I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to promote next month's bout.

Former twice world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the novice is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
