Loyal followers of the actress are calling for that a person who leaped a barricade and touched the actress during the recent Wicked: For Good debut be detained or deported from Singapore.

A circulating clip shows the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past media personnel and charging at Grande while the actors proceeded down a event pathway surrounded by supporters.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the event by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being arrested", though legal records indicated that he was scheduled to appear on the following morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

Record of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram feed includes clips of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the city last winter.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," stated an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user remarked.

Supporters Express Concern Over the Star's Past Trauma

Several followers criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had revealed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote one more response on Instagram.

Some supporters also faulted guards at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while others requested digital services to ban Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Event Details

In videos spreading on the internet, Grande looked surprised when she was approached by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has not commented on the event, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.

Numerous of attendees had congregated in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional debut in a Singapore venue, including several who had waited for as long as a significant duration before it commenced.

The film, to be premiered on 21 November, is the sequel of a two-film adaptation of the well-known stage show Wicked, which centers on the unexpected friendship between two contrasting witches.

The show itself is a derivative of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the good witch Glinda, was adorned in a champagne pink sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the Elphaba, wore a sleek black dress decorated with roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of last year in the UK, and received a dozen Oscar nominations, winning a pair for excellent wardrobe and production design.
