The Celtic boss declared he had no concerns about dismissal, claiming, “The team is really close to changing our fortunes,” despite sliding worryingly close to the exit with a comprehensive loss to their arch-rivals.

A Second-Half Collapse Results in Derby Disaster

Nancy remains focused on the fact the side play well for 45 minutes at a time. For instance, were it not for missed chances they would have been more than 1-0 up. “The performance had merit aside from the fact that we didn't take a second goal,” he said. “I acknowledge that we lost, but I must remain objective.

“The performance we had at times was really, really, really high. That happened. I could not say that if it was untrue. But that’s why, in terms of results, I said it's a repeating pattern. That’s why I said that we are really close to a shift in fortunes. But for the moment: the fine margins.”

“I saw many, many good things that we did, as was the case today. But now is performing for 90 minutes. My narrative would change if it was not the case. That’s why I am convinced we will manage to turn things around.”

Röhl’s Cautious Response

Danny Röhl was cautious about a serious challenge even after what appeared to be a huge result. “We take it game by game, then we can gradually build momentum,” he said. “The faith in the group is outstanding.”
