Homeowners observed large ice chunks as large as 7 centimeters in certain regions. Weather authorities verified that various areas across Queensland had been affected by large hailstones.

Emergency response teams received over five hundred emergency reports across the state, primarily for structural issues but also for collapsed vegetation and water accumulation.

During the peak on Sunday, over 28,000 power users in the state were experiencing outages.
